One of the cheerleaders who stood out to me at the 2017 P-R-O Convention in Atlanta was a Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader named Kayla C. In my mind, she was what you look for in a professional cheerleader: good looks, dance ability, showmanship, and well spoken. In her case, you can add “leadership” as well since she was a Line Captain at the time and seven year veteran.
The thing that I remember about her was that she learned the material quickly, that she had precise dance moves, and that she stood out from the rest of the 300 cheerleaders. She was special and demanded your attention. Those are the qualities of the best professional cheerleaders…they stand out among a sea of gorgeous dancers.
