This past weekend, I made a road trip to visit the Phoenix area and to see the 2015 Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders in person. I have covered their auditions over the past several years, but this year I was not able to attend and I was very interested in seeing the new squad in person. They have a new director, Kristina Ferdig who was a Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader and I was looking forward to seeing the changes she brought to the sidelines being that it has been a couple of years since I last attended a game here.
And I was very pleasantly surprised. The girls are gorgeous and there are more opportunities to photograph the girls interacting with the crowd, which for me was the reason why I came to Phoenix.
If you read my Charger Girl game day reports, you know that I recognize the one cheerleader who has stood out above all others. And in this article, I would like to recognize one special cheerleader who was the highlight of my photographic endeavors. I met her a couple years ago at auditions and she stood out then as well. She was one of three former Utah Jazz dancers who journeyed south to tryout for the Cardinals Cheerleaders. Well, she and her friends made it and it is no surprise that she would be selected as Cheerleader of the Day on this occasion….introducing Alexandria.
So, let’s take a look at the 2015 Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders, up close and personal.
I always enjoy coming out to UOP stadium….its a great venue. Its a relatively new stadium with wonderful amenities and sight lines. The Cardinals have been one of the best teams in the NFC West over the past few years. And the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders are one of the hottest squads in the NFL. Its all good…except for the weather. I always seem to come here when its 108 degrees or hotter!
Hot weather. Hot team. Very hot cheerleaders.
