A Charger Girl Tribute – Marlina

When the 2010 Charger Girls were announced, many Charger fans lamented the loss of Marlina.  And to be sure, so did I.  But when we recognize that an NFL cheerleader’s career is very short and that Marlina was a Line Captain and former Pro Bowl cheerleader, I think we can understand why she decided to hang up the pom poms.  It’s a lot of work and the time commitment is significant.  She’s probably taken this as far as she could and the time was right.  We will miss her on Sundays, but we’ll always have memories of seasons past.

So, without further ado, here’s my Charger Girl photo tribute to Marlina Moreno.

      Hey Marlina,

Many of us were saddened to see you retire as you had become a fan favorite and a personal favorite of mine as well. You also made my top ten Charger Girls to photograph, FYI. Those were some special years, when you were on the squad.

Take care and let your former squad mates know of this blog…you never know who we will feature in a tribute page!
